Who we are

Echo Thirteen Capital Ltd operates Castald. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 15053443, at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. We are the controller for account and billing data, and a processor for the household data you connect. Write to [email protected] about anything on this page.

This website

When you request access, we keep what you write in the form: your name, your email, your telephone number if you give it, what you would like looked after and your message. It is stored on this site, which IONOS hosts, and sent to us by email. We use it only to reply to you, and delete it after twelve months, or sooner if you ask.

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

What the service holds

Your account: email, name, the public half of your passkeys, and your sessions.
Your household: its name and region, your steward’s name, members and their roles, and paired screens.
Connected services: their tokens, sealed in an encrypted vault, and the events, messages, diary entries, files and device states they produce as you connect them.
What you do with your steward: conversations in text and voice, what it remembers and where it learnt it, routines, records, energy readings and the documents you add.
Usage and billing: what you use, and whether you have paid. Card details stay with Stripe.
A record of every action your steward took, every use of the vault and every look by our staff.

Why

To run the service you asked for and to bill for it, under our contract with you. To keep it secure and recorded, as a legitimate interest. To remember things about your home, recognise voices or let our staff help, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Where

In the UK and the EU only. Each household’s data stays in the region set for it. The AI we provide runs in the same region. If you bring your own AI key, your prompts go to the provider you chose.

How long

As long as your settings say. By default, the timeline and conversations are kept for a year, browser recordings for 30 days, and an export for seven days after it is ready. Everything else stays until you delete it, or delete the household.

Who sees it

Nobody at Echo Thirteen Capital, unless you grant support access for a set time from Settings, Security. Every look is recorded where you can see it.

Your rights

Export everything in one file. Correct or delete any memory, record or file. Delete the household, and receive a certificate that it is gone. Object to how we use your data, or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We answer requests within 30 days.

Cloudflare for the connection to this site and the app; Neon for the database; Amazon Web Services for storage and the AI we provide; Northflank for computing; Stripe for payments; Resend for email; Expo for notifications to your phone; IONOS for this website. Deepgram, ElevenLabs and Picovoice handle speech and voice recognition, only where you turn them on.
